They do say “It’s a dream until you write it down then it’s a goal” I LOVE stationary buying post it notes, new notepads and writing endless lists of things to do. So this Day Designer, was the perfect purchase for me. This genius and stylish journal was created by Whitney English I thought I would share with you. I haven’t seen anything else like it and personally it has proved to be extremely useful for helping focus on what I want to achieve this year. It contains eight worksheets (you can find tutorials for them here) which really break down your goals to help build up a strategic plan.
If you are interested in purchasing one head over to Whitney English’s Etsy Store They are currently available in pink as well.
Let me know if you get one too and how your getting on with yours. I’d love to hear your stories and challenges .
I have been wanting to get into film for a while now and I was unsure of how I could start to do. I was pretty certain that I could teach myself but like everything its the starting something that can be the hardest part. I was also looking for personal projects this year. Mainly for my photography and at the moment I am building and producing my portfolio. I’m definitely certain of this as I had the biggest epiphany ever last week when I was faced with seeing work I didn’t want to do and I felt myself running away so fast like the day when I ran 10 blocks in the rain through the Manhattan Streets. I didn’t care if I fell, I dodged passers by and just kept going. I felt free in that moment in the same way I feel right now about my work I am so glad to be at this point. No looking back and running fast I am not scared of falling down because I know I can get back up again.
So here is the challenge I am setting myself this to learn to make film and grateful to find an opportunity to do so through Hailey Bartholomew‘s project, 30 days of filmmaking. I am going to make posts on here and also I have set up a Vimeo . I also have a channel on there for this project which you can find the link for in the sidebar on the blog. If you are thinking about taking part be sure to connect with me there I’d love to see your project.
As we all know Hurricane Sandy caused an extreme amount of damage city of New York and surrounding areas. I was very lucky to have to only deal with a lack of public transport but others were less fortunate then myself. Occupy Sandy has been set up to help victims of this storm and they have an amazon gift registry set up to buy much needed items. As always the Red Cross have been collecting donations and Apple are supporting this via their website. Alternatively people around the city like this boy are also raising money to benefit victims.
